After their "warm market" runs out, they typically get stuck, wondering how to grow their business. * Use Your Target Market, Not Your Warm Market

The Target Market is hidden in your "cold market", and you can target your market in a number of different ways. If you want to start cheap, you can purchase a lead list, of people that have demonstrated interest in your type of product or service. You can usually purchase or rent these lists for less than $0.07 per name, and if just starting out, can be a very effective way to build your business. The downside is that it will take time to sort through and find those that are truly interested in what you have.

If you have a few bucks to invest in your business, you can use more targeted techniques and direct response to get people to sit up and contact you. You can use the internet, as well as offline advertising that can attract attention. You always want to provide a good CTA (or "call to action") at the end of a direct response tool, so that the prospect looking at your piece of advertising knows what to do next to get more information. It pays to have good copywriting skills when using any type of written advertising.

* Use Scripts

No matter what you use for lead generation, you have to have a filter system to prospect effectively, present your products and services effectively, and enroll those people effectively. A good prospecting script, presentation script, and closing script will do just that. If you are contacting your prospects over the telephone, you want to have a prospecting to qualify your prospect, and peak their interest in what you are marketing.

Then, during your presentation, you want to map out your personal story, the value and benefit of your products, the details on cost, as well as your income opportunity.

Real businesses don't hope and pray their business will magically explode, and they don't rely on their friends and family to ensure it is profitable.
